Eli H. Miller

A native of Cleveland, North Carolina, Miller was born in November 1836 and was a teacher before the War. He became the regimental commissary for the 34th, later rising to the rank of major by April 1862. Miller was mortally wounded at Ox Hill, dying on September 3, 1862. He was buried in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby, North Carolina.
