John Wescott
Wescott was born in New Jersey in July 1807 and attended (but apparently did not graduate from) West Point. He became a doctor in Florida and later served as Surveyor-General. He became Captain of I Company of the 10th Florida in 1862, rising to major by June 11, 1864.
After the War, Wescott was a businessman in St. Augustine and served in the state legislature. He died during January 1889.
